Come and Go

Come and go

All things come and go.

Clouds come and go

Rain comes and it goes

Leaves are one minute green and next minute falling

Flowers bloom and next thing they seed

Daylight goes and nighttime comes

Darkness dissapears as sunlight appears

A brand new baby is soon an adult

All things change, it is a must to accept that things can come and go

Situations change, people change, enviroments change, you change

We cant control everything , we can only control our own action, responses and emotions

And in every change that takes place, is the opportunity for new growth you just have to see the opportunity.

And take action on it .

Change

When we started we had nothing, no clothes, no cars, no anything just freedom. Free of pressure, free of anxieties, free to enjoy and love and share and give and understand.

But we were smarter than this for we could dream and create and invent.

Homes in which to live, weapons so that we could hunt, ships so that we could explore.
And we grew and grew filling the world with our existence. Exploring and growing. And as we grew we needed kings, presidents, primeministers and societies and government where created.
Managers, leaders the holders of authority to make decisions for our future, planning our growth.

Civilization.

Then somewhere along the line, maybe from the start, came greed, envy and jealousy.
Guns, warships, nuclear bombs.
War.
Terrorism.
Loss of peace .
Loss of love.
Dominance, control, power.

Power is soon held by few. The worlds wealth is soon held by few .The world is soon under the control of few. Soon we have grave indiffernce in humanatarian standards and beliefs. Some countries abounding with wealth and others in poverty. The powerful wanting more. Developing there countries. Under this control we grow. Seemingly without question.

Mass production, factories, corporation.
They start to re-engineer the earth. Cities replace feilds, logging and mining eating at the core.
Unsustainability.
Brand names, advertising, marketing.

Soon society is just one big marketing plan we go to work for a company thats owned by another company etc. And we get paid. And they market to us on how to spend this money which goes to a company thats owned by a company etc. Where does this end up ? In the hands of the powerful, creating our unsustainability. At this work we have to perform, meet deadlines, responsabilities all for which were paid more and promoted on achieving. In our society wer'e then measured by our position, wealth , our achievements. You have to fit the program.

Pressure, anxiety, stress.
Depression, suicide.
Loss of freedom, loss of love, loss of peace.
All for unsustainability.Why?

Change. Why ?
Sustainability is ours to ask for and its coming.
Our knowledge ,with nievity, fed our growth like a hungry monster. It then out grew us and ate our existance. Now our knowledge must grow in a new way, the way it should have been, to tame and control the ways of our past and create sustainability.

Change.
Because you can and you have to. Open our eyes. At the end of darkness is a new day with rays of light piercing through the coldness of the night illuminating the way. If you want to see it. And with every new day you can wake up to the world which is yours as much as it is anyones.
Reality is the few dont hold the power because it doesnt exist. Tommorow if it where all gone....... there would be no power .

Change .
The power is in everyone. So the people have the power. Question it. Reality is not for someone to give you, it is for you to create while learning to love, appreciate, understand, empathise and inspire.
Grow.
Love, freedom, peace.
Repaint the picture.

The Age of Anxiety

People with anxiety i'm sure are some of the smartest people around. Imagine remembering to be anxious or scared of other people everyday and still being able to live life. Imagine having more concern for what other people are thinking and feeling than your own. Imagine remembering each day that you had to be scared or anxious yet you still had the ability equal or maybe even greater than those around you. You can walk, talk, breathe, eat, sleep and function in the way that we were intended as humans and then on top of that remember to be something that you are not or to act in a way that is not natural to who you really are. Most people cant even remember were they left their keys!

I guess it’s totally hiding youre own beliefs and subscribing to that of others around you for fear of having to stand up for your own.

Anxiety grows, once you feel it and you feel it again and everytime in these situations you crash and the mind starts to begin a pattern. The pattern starts by slowly developing a way in which inputs and thoughts in the mind are dealt with. And after time this almost becomes automatic to some extent, well not quite automatic as is still needs to be remembered to be done, and it can be a really quite complex set of routines to follow but a definte path or pattern is set in the mind. Routines to be scared in situations or having the thought of a situation bring on a chain of chemical reactions in the body like hot flushes, sweaty palms, tension around neck and throat area, total loss of clear thought, confusion, stress etc.

Retreating generally becomes the answer ie not putting your hand up, not enrolling, avoiding classes or meetings, not turning up to social engagements and to others appearing to be arrogant or rude, distant and aloof.

Alcohol and drugs will generally become part of picture, as here is a door that is always open.

After a while all this becomes normal and the pattern is set.

This can be quite a hard pattern to break depending how long it’s been in play. Breaking it concerns the regaining of confidence, the need of will power, self belief, creation of a better self perception and through all of this the need for support and genuine love. It is important to look for the reasons that initially trigured this pattern ,which can be hard, as they may be many and to get to the very first one is difficult but absolutley nessecary. People are not born this way they are actually unintentionally formed this way. The childhood memories, generally this is where it starts, can be anything from being left alone in a busy place (left to feel scared and alone, unwanted, unloved) or being abused (undeserved, unloved, unworthy). It’s important to recall these memories and work through the event/s to find closure as at the moment they are the formers of this pattern and are still active memories with feelings attatched.

All this so far sounds easy but not really, first I guess the person with the anxiety has to accept that they have a problem and that there's a better kind of normal to be had and that the solution is one that is challenging and requires dealing with pain and working through it. Mental discipline is required.

As anxiety did once grow so too can confidence required to beat it and as the mind was once patterned/programed it can be repatterned/reprogrammed. The minds filters/routines need to be developed or rebuilt.

In our mind we receive information from various different senses (what we see, hear, feel, smell and taste) this information is then filtered by various different methods (meta programs as in our general approach, values, beliefs, memories and decisions, all these being linked to each other) then the thought or picture that is left is the one we see as reality (the territory we see is not the territory itself but our representation of the territory) and the one that we act on. If these filters are out of balance then then confusion reins and we can loose ability to act or be our true selves.

Wanting to let go and believe can be the hardest part.
Believe, believe, believe.
Start with something small and let it grow.

The traps of the intellect.

A mouse in an open enviroment runs freely sourcing food and mateship yet when put in a cage for some time it is forced to run down certain corridors to a wheel that it will run in and make spin and this soon becomes the only world it knows. When let out the cage it becomes confused and wants to go back into the cage it knows. It has become trapped in it’s own intellect by a long situation of paterning away from it’s natural state.

Life can be so cruel with it’s lessons, sometimes creating a trap that our intellect can fall into and once fallen into it can be almost impossible to see the way out . Life can bear upon us some funny challenges and society’s pressures can give us even more. Love, money, expectations, opinions, judgements, peer pressures, social conditionings/standards, right and wrong etc.

Sometimes a bad thing can happen in your life or maybe a series of bad things and what can happen at that point is that your thoughts on things may change. One bad day roles into the next and next thing you know a pattern is formed where all things appear to be bad. It seems as if only bad things seem to come your way. Any object of value whether material or of life seems to lose value, the close people who loved you dont seem to anymore, freinds seem like enemies, your family dont seem to care, co-workers are all out to get you, every person you meet seems to look at you strangely or walk away from you when your talking and then you look in the mirror and you even start to hate yourself. Nothing makes sense. You cant even live with yourself so you become someone or something else. Not that it’s even realised , but the mind is trapped into a way of thinking that you dont even know your in.

The flow of thoughts only go in a certain direction and slowly you cut yourself off from all of the beautiful things that life and the world has to give.

Stress and pain become a normality and you can start to walk around only seeing the world in a particular way, almost walking around with your eyes shut to the beautiful things that are always on offer. You start to except cheap pleasures or quick escapes from the pain your assuming. Drugs, alcohol, love from wherever you can get it, money for doing all the wrong things, freinds who aren't even freinds any quick escape you can get from the painful existence not realising that all these short term burts of pleasure are removing you further from lifelong happiness and fufilment. After a while you wouldnt even know what your hearts desires and passions truly are and if you had an inclining of what they might be you’d feel that you couldn't do that becuase youd probably only fail.

Then you'd start to think youre crazy for truly wanting or trying to find what you believe in, so you give up. You adopt this sub standard of happiness and fill your life with cheap highs and feed from the happiness of others forgetting totally where yours is.

Are you in the trap of the intellect?

Its easy to see where this can come about. Theres an old saying that goes along the lines “upon walking a track I come across a snake and in a rush of fear and anger I jumped on it trying to mash it’s head into the ground with the boots on my feet only to realise it was just a peice of old rope”. Sometimes our eyes lie to us. With the traps of our own intellect sometimes we dont see all the things that are on offer to us.

We easily forget the miracles of life. That we were born. That we can see, feel, hear and smell all the things that god has given us. The eyes we had as a child that seen no limitations. That even though we fell over many times we learnt how to walk. Then we learnt how to talk. The whole world synergises events in such a beautiful way and has infite organising power.

Birds can fly at exactly the right time every year to another part of the world without a watch or map, whales journey for months to another part of the world to have their young. The rains come, the snow falls ,the sun shines. The world spins at some great speed yet to us it appears stationary, planets seem to align in some strange harmony, the world has infinate organising power and time and space are endless from any given point that we are in.

You are a part of it all. A beautiful part of it all.
You are connected. You just keep thinking youre not.

Let go.Let go of the pain ,stress and hate .The past is the past ,the future is the future and the present is the only thing we are in. Find your dreams and why not give every minute you are in everything you can and let the universe handle the details.

There is about 13 billion nerve cells in our mind, why be limited to only using some of them!Your mind also has infinate organising power there to be used not limited.
The only limits are the ones you have in your own mind. The ones you grew to accept as reality. Escape the trap of your own intellect and go for it. The only way to fail is by not doing something. Every experience is there to be learnt from so we can get better and better. We are mostly born equal, nothing is innate. Think of any one who is held highly in the world ,think of any hero’s or superstars - think of the fact that they still have to go to the toilet and brush there teeth in the same way that you do. They get hot. They get cold. They get the flu. They sleep. They laugh. They cry.

When you give yourself to life, life will come back and find you.
So what is really stopping you .You.
If you can dream it, then you have the ability to achieve it . Believe it.

Deeper Self

We are all very familiar with our ego self, that part of us which operates on the earthly level. We are also all more or less aware that deep within us we have another self, a direct reflection of our divine inheritance which becomes more and more familiar to us as we grow.
There are many different terms for what we are talking about here; our true self, our inner teacher, our still small voice. Whatever name we choose, it is the part of us that contains our deep wisdom, the part that is connected to our spiritual or soul level. Here we will call it our deeper self.

Both selves are valid and necessary expressions of who we are. Our ego self expresses specific individualized qualities and characteristics that make us unique. Our deeper self expresses universal spiritual qualities of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, and humility.

Our deeper self is our source of creativity, generosity, the desire to serve, right thinking and living, devotion, and faith. Unlike our ego self, it knows from the beginning who it is and what it is and why it is here. It is whole and unified, not divided. While our ego self has many different aspects, our deeper self has a sense of oneness.

Our deeper self seeks harmony and experience, and what experience we have, once we become aware that we have both selves within us! As we learn to appreciate the voices of both selves, we become aware that our ego self demands our attention while our deeper self quietly calls for our focus. The voice of our ego self is full of questions such as "how," "when," "where," "who," and "why." It reasons, justifies, and judges. It is most entertaining and very creative.
The voice of our deeper self is quiet, calm, sure, and simple. It often speaks in simple statements such as "yes," "no," "go," "now," and "listen." It doesn't engage in reasoning things out, it gently speaks its knowing. It is persistent but never coercive. It peacefully sits, watching and waiting. It knows it is connected and at home in the universe, so there is no anxiety or fear about what it has or does not have. Because our deeper self operates from a place of peace, it expresses itself through feelings of joy, contentment, and serenity.

Our deeper self is not some stage of development to be achieved. It is not some "gift" that some people have and others don't. It is present in all of us. Just as each of us has a unique individualized ego self, each has a unique deeper self that is connected to the Whole.
Different experiences bring forth the deeper self for each of us. Some of us just naturally and gradually slip into greater and greater expressions of our deeper self with each year that passes. Others of us become aware of this self through challenges, crises, or creative experiences in life. Often, we seem asleep to this power within us until some circumstance requires us to dig deeply into our reserves and find our deeper self, awake and ready to help.

We may seek to increase our awareness of our deeper self through books, workshops, classes, and ceremonies, but ultimately, we find it simply in quiet. With practice, we learn to ignore the clamor around us and the chatter of our ego self, and hear the quiet sure wisdom of our still, small voice. Regardless of how unaware we may be of our deeper self, it is always present within us. All of us have it all the time.

And herein lies a challenge for our entire lives—the challenge of awareness. Once we become aware that we have both aspects, we can learn to listen to both, and distinguish between their voices. Neither is to be ignored or disrespected. We need both working in harmony to express our wholeness. We just need to be aware of the source of the message we are hearing so we can make wise and loving choices.

Both selves are essential for us to be who we are. The ego self needs the deeper self for its clarity and wisdom. The deeper self in turn needs the ego self to demonstrate its unique individualized qualities, and as a mechanism for gaining experience.
As we focus our ego self on those qualities which are most loving and in harmony, we experience more and more the joy of connection to our deeper self. Then our deeper wiser self can better shine through our beautiful, individualized characteristics with its bright light of truth, wisdom, and love.
